Niskayuna Girls Softball League has hired professional coaches for their 12U, 14U and 16U Travel Softball teams.

Danielle Lehman, head coach of the 14U team, played softball for the University of Maine and has coaching experience at Elmira College and SUNY Oneonta as well as the high school and youth level. A professional athletic trainer, she has also taught private pitching, hitting and fielding for over a decade.

Erika Kenney, head coach of the 12U team, has been playing softball since second grade. As captain on JV and Varsity, she earned 3 MVP/MVO awards before going on to play four years at Division III Morrisville State College. Prior to working with Niskayuna, she volunteered with little league, held pitching clinics for the minors’ softball teams, was an Assistant Softball coach, and has taught private pitching lessons.

The 16U team is pleased to have 3 great coaches on the team: Gary Sears, Jennifer Onwe and Jessica Adams. Sears is no stranger to the Capital District having spent the past 15 years in various capacities, including five seasons as the head coach and manager of the Capital District (CD) Crossfire 16U Elite A and 18U Elite teams. Onwe was previously a Russell Sage Softball Assistant coach 2017; Adams was a Skyline All-Conference selection three times, including one first-team selection.
